This paper evaluates the effect of waste perlite (WP) powders on durability and long-term transport properties of self-consolidating concrete (SCC).

Advantages and Disadvantages of Concrete

The durability of concrete is very high. It can be cast to any desired shape. The casting of concrete can be done in the working site which makes it economical. The maintenance cost of concrete is almost negligible. The deterioration of concrete is not appreciable with age. Concrete makes a building fire-safe due to its noncombustible nature.

Durability of recycled aggregate concrete with supplementary

Durability of concrete is defined as its ability to resist weathering action, chemical attack, abrasion, or any other process of deterioration. Water, which is the primary agent of both creation and destruction of many natural materials, happens to be central to most durability problems in concrete.
